Review: Art Nouveau|Archeron Sisters digital coloring series by June Page

June Page  is an illustrator from Germany known for her exquisite designs in the Art Nouveau style. Her art evokes a romantic era with beautiful women and intricate floral and vine-like motifs underscored with geometric frames. These designs are all hand-drawn and filled with charming little details that ensure each piece has something unique to offer. While they may seem intimidating at first, these works of art will draw you in once you start coloring and will leave you wanting more! Below we review the coloring digital series Art Noveau/Archeron Sisters but her Etsy shop has lots of other Art Nouveau design as well.

Below, colorist Randi Jameson breathed life into these four designs by using  markers as a base and adding gel pens and Prismacolor pencils. Although she felt some of the lines were a bit unnecessarily heavy, she enjoyed coloring these designs and likened them to the works of renowned Art Nouveau artist Max Parrish.

Linda Woltil Allison did the two on the below left with her usual blend of  Prismacolor Premier, CastleArt, and Koh-I-Noor colored pencils as well as  LePlumme dual tip brush/fineliners.  Ilona Szajnicka colored the below right page with Prismacolor Premier pencils, Caran d’Ache Luminance, and alcohol markers.

Colorist Cher Reneé, thought these three pages below were a great skill builder for her. She used Ohuhu Alcohol Markers and Castle Arts Pencils. When choosing colors, she started by trying to think about the time period and then it all fell in to place much easier than she thought.
